Since 1985 Tom has consulted and coached many companies in order to develop
their uniqueness.
As a graduate of natural sciences (Tom holds a PhD in microbiology from the Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich , Switzerland ) he learned a lot about uniqueness and strategy from nature.
Structuring complex situations, determining points of main effort, alignement,
positioning and strategy implementation are his specialities. The focus is uniqueness. His core competence is marketing and sales.
His partnership with a marketing consulting company in St. Gallen , Switzerland for 15 years opened him close contacts to the University of St.Gallen . There he had the possibiltiy to complete his marketing training.Today he is a trainer and lecturer for several marketing institutes and consulting companies.
His career started in the pharmaceutical industry as medical director. He then became partner of a venture capital financed biotechnolgy start up in Seattle . After returning to Europe he started his consulting career.
In 1998 he founded his own consulting company (J.T.Sorg & Partner).
Tom is married and has two children.
